Manuel COLLET
He is senior researcher with the French CNRS, deputy director of the Tribology and System Dynamics Laboratory (LTDS) of Ecole Centrale de Lyon. Graduating in 1992 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, he obtained his PhD in acoustics from the same university in 1996. His dissertation concerned the “Active control of vibrating structures by mean of semi distributed piezoelectric patches”. His current research interests focus on smart structures and active control, adaptive programmable materials and metamaterials. ASME Fellow since 2022, he has published more than 105 journal papers, 60 invited conferences, 6 patents.
From 1998 to 2013, Manuel Collet was member of the Department of Applied Mechanics of FEMTO-ST Institute. He was its president of the Scientific Council from 2005 to 2010 and Assistant Director in charge of the scientific strategy and organization from 2008 to 2013. After having spent one year at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a visiting professor in 2006-2007, Manuel Collet created and chaired a new research program concerned with Hybrid Vibroacoustic Interface Control by Metacomposite Optimization. He has been working with the LTDS in Ecole Centrale de Lyon since 2013 and is developing research programs for integrating new class of adaptive and programmable metacomposites and developing the associated technologies. He is also president of Carnot Institute Engineering at Lyon, vice-president of Carnot Institute Association. He is also senator of ASME Adaptive Structures & Material Systems division senate and expert in different panels as ERC (UE), ANR (FR) ; AERES(FR), SNSF (CH), NSERC (CA), NSF (US)…
In the FunGPT project, he is the leader of the WP4 related to the developement of an integrated FGPM demonstrator and also the dissemination and communication on the main results of the project.
Baptiste CHOMETTE
He is Associate Professor at Ecole Centrale de Lyon in the Tribology and System Dynamics Laboratory (LTDS) since 2021. He obtained his PhD at Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon in 2008 on the active modal control of on-board structures using piezoelectric components. He was first Associate Professor at Sorbonne Université in Institut Jean Le Rond d’Alembert from 2009 to 2021. His curent research focuses on smart-structure, active control and identification, adaptive programmable metamaterials in the field of vibration isolation.
In the FunGPT project, he is involved in the WP3 related to the developement of a numerical tool to optimize the active vibration control of FGPM, and also in WP4 related to the elaboration of an integrated FGPM demonstrator .
Kévin BILLON
He has received his PhD in 2016 from Bourgogne Franche-Comté university about “Periodic composites for vibroacoustic wideband absorption”. He has realized several publications about the vibroacoustic dynamics of metamaterials and shunted piezoelectric actuators for the vibration control. He is research engineer at ECL, experienced in multi-physical finite element modelling, dynamic rotational testing, modal analysis and data processing.
In FunGPT, he will participate on the WP4 on the elaboration of an integrated FGPM demonstrator.
